Smart Contracts on Polkadot.

WASM conference

A 1-day virtual event dedicated to the Polkadot smart contracts. We will bring top parachains, prospects, and builders together to create the future of Polkadot.

WASM conference starting:

Coming Soon...

Welcome to the first WASM conference - Smart Contracts on Polkadot!

1.svg

Our plan is to collaborate with WASM stakeholders to discuss and answer questions like - “Why is WASM a top choice base layer for next-generation dApp development?“ We believe WASM to be the future of smart contracts development.

2.svg

We know the attendees could help grow the ecosystem by resolving pertinent issues, accelerating innovation, and attracting top talent to the Polkadot ecosystem. The solution is to be the starting point and face the reality of lacking knowledge. So be the voice of WASM smart contracts - it's our next aim!

Event Areas

Business & Technical Stage

In this zone, leaders from the whole industry will go live and give a speech about the most relevant and exciting themes. There will be two different stages: Business and Technical, divided by various topics.

Networking Zone

In the Networking zone, you will meet the conference participants in one-on-one business speed networking. You will randomly go live with each other to exchange your contact information. Just press the "join" button and get closer to the community.

Expo Zone

Why WebAssembly Matters in Polkadot. Why has Astar decided to use it?

One of the next big things in the Polkadot ecosystem is WASM based smart contract. Astar Network supports both EVM and WASM so that it can support various smart contracts and use cases. In this section, Sota will be introducing the reasons why WASM matters and how WASM changes the Polkadot’s smart contract landscape.

A look into VMs and smart contract runtimes

An overview of new virtual machines within Substrate runtimes. The talk will be mainly focused on the engines running smart contracts. The different design choices that different ecosystems use. How is CosmWasm different from ink! and how does it relate to XBI and XCVM. Will there be one standard or multiple competing standards for engines running smart contracts in the Polkadot ecosystem?
